La unidad didáctica sobre el atletismo se pondrá en marcha durante el cuarto bimestre del curso, ya que, en cierta forma los estudiantes tendrá unos conceptos básicos sobre algunos sistemas de entrenamiento, sobre la condición física, sobre las habilidades motrices y la experiencia de haber realizado actividades y deportes individuales como, el tenis de mesa, la gimnasia artística durante el primer y tercer bimestre del curso. Destacaremos que el tiempo que se aplica en el desarrollo de las sesiones y de la organización de las actividades a desarrollar en cada parte de la sesión es puramente orientativo.
